This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?

We collect the e-mail addresses and certain personal information of those who communicate with us via e-mail or register with us to receive content and information from us regarding our services. How do we protect your information?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.

Duration of Processing of PII

Where Adeaca is processing and using your PII as permitted by law or under your consent, Adeaca will store your PII (i) only for as long as is required to fulfil the purposes given by your consent or by law (ii) until you object to Adeaca’s use of your PII, or (iii) until you withdraw your consent. However, where Adeaca is required by mandatory law to retain your PII longer or where your PII is required for Adeaca to assert or defend against legal claims, Adeaca will retain your PII until the end of the relevant retention period or until the claims in question have been settled.

Your Rights

You can request from Adeaca at any time information about which PII Adeaca processes about you and the correction or deletion of such PII. Please note, however, that Adeaca can delete your PII only if there is no statutory obligation or prevailing right of Adeaca to retain it. Kindly note that if you request that Adeaca delete your PII, you will not be able to continue to use any Adeaca service that requires Adeaca’s use of your PII.

Right to Lodge a Complaint.

If you believe that Adeaca is not processing your PII in accordance with the requirements set out herein or applicable EEA data protection laws, you can at any time lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the EEA country in which you live.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by Adeaca or its subsidiaries to a third party for the third party’s direct marketing purposes.  COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.

As a business service, Adeaca does not target its offerings toward, and does not knowingly collect any personal information from users under 13 years of age.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:   

  • Within 7 business days we will notify the users via in-site notification       
  • Within 7 business days we also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. Adeaca complies with the CAN-SPAM Act.

To be in accordance with CANSPAM, we agree to the following:       

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.      
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.      
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.      
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.      
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.      
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.
